Hot Springs, SD Evans Plunge, Mammoth Site, Wind Cave National Park, Custer State Park are all wonderful sites in our area of the state. Of course you will want to see Mount Rushmore national Monument and Crazy Horse Monument currently in the carving process. Hot Springs has Farmers Market on Friday 4-6:30pm in Centennial Park.

Shirley, thank you so much for the suggestions. Hot Springs is definitely going to be on the list, and we are going to try to see if we can make it for the Farmer’s Market – we love seeing and experiencing markets all over.

Historic Deadwood is a must see stop in South Dakota. If you like fun and history all mixed together, this is the place to stop.

Thank you so much! This will definitely be helpful as we begin to plan our trip as we will be there before we know it!

Custer State Park is a great place to see and maybe stay a day or two.
If you go, get a bag of carrots at Lori’s in Custer, for the donkeys I the park.

For biking in the Black Hills we have the Michelson Trail. It is beautiful on any stretch that you decide to get on. It’s an old railway track made into a great biking or hiking trail.
For wine we have “Prairie Berry Winery” in Hill City another must stop at. They make the “Red Ass Rhubard” wine. It is very close to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse.
