Sandi – Love it! That will definitely have to be on the trip. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

Looks like you are going to be here during our cold season. So, if you start in the Northwest Corner of Arkansas, I suggest:
Bentonville, AR – Home of Wal-Mart
Bentonville, AR – Crystal Bridges Museum (funded by the Walton Family) free admission
There are so many beautiful hiking paths and trails in Arkansas. There is also a paved bike trail that runs for 50 miles from Bella Vista – Fayetteville.
Eureka Springs, AR – Thorncrown Chapel (free admission)
Morelton, AR – Petit Jean State Park
Hot Springs, AR, check out the natural hot springs and the quaint town.

There are several wineries near Altus, AR. I have heard good things about Chatea Aux Arc and Post Family. I would also recommend Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs. Lots of nice lakes in the Hot Springs area as well as a National Park. In Little Rock you can see LR Central High and the museum dedicated to desegregation in the South, a very moving experience. As others have said, I also recommend Crystal Bridges and Eureka Springs. Have fun and enjoy Arkansas.
