COMPLETED: October 22 though October 27, 2019
We would have to say that Idaho completely shocked us. We never knew of the beauty of this great state until we had the chance to experience it ourselves. Yes, there were potato farms, but Idaho offers so much more including Shoshone Falls (The Niagara of the West), Boise, and the amazing landscape near Riggins. Next time we visit we plan to spend even more time in this beautiful state!
Shoshone Falls, Balanced Rock, Shoshone Ice Caves, Sun Valley, Hells Canyon, Coeur d’ Alene (Heart of an Awl), Lake Pend Oreille are just a few of the beautiful places to visit in Idaho and fall is the perfect weather to do so. We get amazing ‘Indian Summers’
So good to hear that fall is a good time to visit! Shoshone Falls sounds wonderful, and cannot wait to see your beautiful state!
See Bear Lake. It is in Utah and Idaho. The hot pots around Lava Hot Springs. Soda Springs. Meet Bob Stone in Pickleville at south end of Bear Lake. He might be in Gardenville.
Bill – great suggestions! Bear Lake sounds like a must see for sure!
Craters of the moon where the Astronauts trained for their lunar landings and Bruneau Sand Dunes, the largest in the USA
Thank you for the suggestions – we are only a few weeks away from visiting Idaho!
